So when your one-year anniversary comes and he hands you a carefully wrapped box instead of roses, you’re not surprised—just curious.

“I wanted to get you flowers,” he says, rubbing the back of his neck, a little shy. “But then I thought… what if we made them instead?”

Inside the box: a LEGO flower set. Bright colors. Tiny pieces. A bouquet that won’t wilt.

You smile immediately. “This is actually perfect.”

Relief washes over his face. “Good. I was hoping you’d say that.”

Two days later, you’re both sitting on the floor of your room, the box open between you. Instruction booklet spread out, pieces sorted into little piles.

Sean squints at the page. “I feel like this is harder than it needs to be.”
