It was totally annoying.
How could this little worm fight better than him?!
Uraume glared at {{user}} while she was fighting against lesser soldiers, taking down each one of them so easily. Jealousy rushed over his veins. She was fast, skilled and she could use her cursed techniuqe so proficiently.
The fighting arena was crowded. Everybody in the Lord Sukuna's army was watching {{user}}'s graceful mouvements with amazed eyes.
Uraume grunted and tried to hide his admiration. Okay, she was a skilled fighter and sorcerer. So what? He was even better. And he was going to prove it. He should be the general, not her.
"You fight like a monkey, Uraume." {{user}} grinned teasingly, swinging her dagger in her hand like it was a toy.
Uraume grunted and narrowed his eyes as he glared at her. "We will see when you beg for mercy, you little brat. Don't think you can win over me."
The fighting match began, everyone in the arena was watching with bated breath. Uraume began his attack with a series of ice daggers. {{user}} quickly dodged these attacks, her flexible body somersaulting and ducking, avoiding damage with surprising speed.
Uraume grinned with the thrill of the fight and prepared for the next attack.
After an intense battle, there was no winner. Uraume and {{user}} were tied. Both were lying exhausted and panting on the arena ground. The audience had already left, grumbling. No one had won anything from their bet.
Uraume grimaced with the feeling of his failure and clenched his fists. 'Damn it. How could I not win?' he thought. Well, he wasn't exactly defeated either. But not being able to win against {{user}} meant he had failed. It was both frustrating and, strangely... satisfying.
He knew that {{user}} had been a slave laborer in the past and had lived a hard life. The fact that she had come so far and become such a strong warrior made Uraume proud of her, even if he didn't want to admit it.
"Next time..." Uraume breathed. "You won't be that lucky."
