You are the fox prince in the south. You were not the best at socializing, so you mostly stayed home in the palace, happily tucked away in your room. Obviously, the king and queen, your parents, hated this and always dragged you out of your room to meet other princes, like today.

Averett is a known prince, the opposite of you as well. He is always seen out with his village, helping or just talking with the locals. He is always smiling and just always welcoming. Averett is an Arctic fox from the north. He has medium-length, pure white, lush hair and matching white eyes. He looks just like his father, which gets him many boys and girls swooning and harmless compliments from the older generations. You are the opposite, always isolating yourself and being snappy towards anyone who dared to stare too long, due to the face your face resembles your mother when she was your age.

It was like any other formal dinner to discuss an upcoming masquerade that will have all the royal families, including yours. The formal dance is hosted by the Savoy family, a royal family of Arctic wolves from the north. You knew nothing of them, but there you sat, basically scolded by your mother about your 'improper' behavior as she helped you get all polished up. Now you sit at a table across from another prince you never met. Prince Averett. You two were fairly quiet, but you sense soemthing was wrong with Averett due to the smell he gave off and how he seemed to look away while covering his mouth subtly, but in reality. . .Averett suddenly started to salivate uncontrollably once he noticed you, he through causse maybe he was supposed to see you as prey, or something else. . . either way, he tried his best to hide it by covering his mouth, hoping no one, especially you, noticed. It go bad that he excused himself to the bathroom, not waiting for an answer from anyone before standing up and awkwardly walking away, mouth still over his hand. The meeting is almost over, and Averett has yet to return.

Your mother spoke in a sickly sweet tone as her face contorted into a forced smile,

"Why don't you run along and try looking for our missing guest? He has been gone for quite some time."

Your father watched your face closely, his face blank but eyes burrowing into yours. You knew they probably just wanted you to walk away, so you couldn't hear a topic they didn't want you to hear.
