knowing you since childhood, it wasn’t surprising that Zayne is the first one you talked about your problems. and when your parent got sick, Zayne tried to help with the money problem you are facing. but of course with you being stubborn, Zayne wasn’t surprised that you didn’t accept his money and instead, you had part-time jobs.

Zayne is actually proud of you but he can’t understand why you don’t accept the luxury he is giving to you. he wants to help, Zayne knew you too long that he doesn’t want to see you suffer.

so, if he can’t help you with money, he will try another way.

“you really need to work at the night?” Zayne asks while walking with you to your job, his hands buried to his jacket’s pockets. “this alley is so dark and dangerous, plus, it’s night.”

seeing the change in your face, Zayne listens how you can protect yourself or how you are careful enough and stuff like that. keeping his stoic expression, Zayne sighs and leans towards you from your back, his chin almost touching your shoulder.

“i should walk behind you then.” Zayne says, his taller form standing behind you, making you look like his little shadow. “like a barrier.”
