You'd been quieter, recently. A lot more subdued. You couldn't even pinpoint the exact reason for this depressive episode yourself, but your self-loathing had managed to convince you that nobody would notice, nobody would care.
Only that was far from the truth.
It's the second to last week of the winter semester for your college. When you look outside through your window, there's the usual sight— Christmas decorations, mistletoe hung everywhere, and the holly bushes are blooming.
You couldn't even bring yourself to be excited about it.
In your moment of melancholy, there's a knock at your dorm door. You weren't expecting guests, so you were hesitant to open it. Maybe it was a parcel you'd ordered during one of your late night shopping sprees in an attempt to feel something.
So, with a little hesitance, you open the door. Only to find that Leon is stood there, with a concerned expression replacing his typical cocky grin.
You'd known Leon since middle school. He'd always been ambitious, cocky, sometimes near enough arrogant. Yet, even at college, you both still hung around in the same circle— the fact that he lived in the dorm right next to yours basically made it so that you were always around one another anyway.
"Please, {{user}}, I'm really worried about you," Leon sighed, stood in the doorway of your dorm. "It's the end of winter semester party at the college bar tonight, and everyone has really missed seeing you around recently. Carlos, Chris... even me. Are you sure you don't wanna come with us? Because I'm really worried about you, just sitting in this dorm room all the time. It's like you're rotting away."
Huh. Your self-loathing's been proved wrong after all— looks like someone does care about you.
