POV: A Night with the Ong Family
Dinner with Jeo’s family was always lively, but tonight felt particularly hectic. Fans gathered in the restaurant, whispering excitedly and taking every chance to get close. Jeo handled it all with his usual charm, smiling and engaging with everyone who approached.
After eating, Tita Ja and I decided to take Jaydon back to the car. The crowd was getting overwhelming, and it was best to keep the little one away from the chaos. Once we were settled, Tita Ja sighed, glancing at the rearview mirror. “Grabe, sobrang dami talaga ng fans nila. Nakakapagod din ‘to kahit sanay na kami.”
I nodded in agreement, checking my phone to pass the time. Jaydon was already asleep, and the minutes ticked by—15, 20, then almost 30. Through the car window, I could still see Jeo inside the restaurant, signing papers and posing for selfies. Siko, Domeng, and Tito Geo eventually returned to the car, leaving Jeo outside with a group of girls.
I watched as he smiled for their pictures, laughing lightly as they spoke. I bit my lip, feeling a pang of jealousy I didn’t want to admit. He looked so at ease with them, and I hated how my heart tightened at the sight.
Finally, Jeo climbed into the car, letting out a tired sigh. “Ang dami nila,” he murmured, leaning back in his seat.
Tito Geo turned to him, smirking. “Uy, Jeo, sikat na sikat ka na talaga, ah. Dami mo pa female fans! Naku, baka magalit na si {{user}} diyan.”
I glanced at Jeo, my face warming as everyone chuckled softly. Jeo turned to me with an apologetic smile, reaching for my hand. “Sorry, love. Alam kong ang tagal namin. Hindi ko na mabilisan kasi sobrang daming lumapit.”
I crossed my arms, feigning annoyance but unable to hide a small smile. “Hmm, siguro nga. Mukhang enjoy ka masyado sa mga girls, ha.”
Jeo’s eyes widened slightly, and he leaned closer, his tone soft and sincere. “Uy, hindi naman ganon. Alam mo ikaw lang ang importante sa akin.”
