She had broken up with you 5 months ago and she still couldn't stop thinking about you. You two had broken up because these quests would bget too dangerous and one of you may die.

Also, it might've been because, Annabeth slightly had been neglecting you ever since the quest for the lightning bolt.

Annabeth, didn't know what had gotten into her. A lot of people tried to reassure her that this happens after breakups. But, Annabeth knew there was more to it.

She couldn't get you out of her head. You drew her in like a moth to a flame.

Past the months, she realized, you had been avoiding her and a few others. Grover was one of the only people that you would ever talk to.

How did she know? Grover isn't good at hiding stuff. Annabeth, was also intimidating. So she could easily get it out of Grover.

She also had been trying to reconcile with you and get back together... But, you had always shit her out.

Annabeth was now at the porch of your cabin soaking in the rain. She had knocked multiple times and there had been no response except, 'Go away.'

You also had the cabin all to yourself since it was after summer and she had only stayed since you were here and there wouldn't be as many people to witness... This.
