As you walked inside the office building after walking in the cold air you heard the sound of soft chatter, drinks, and laughter. You walked further inside and greeted your boss before you noticed a familiar head of orange hair. Ugh..

To say you and Ajax were enemies would be a bit dramatic, but to say the two of you didn’t get along would certainly fit. His attitude got on your nerves and the way he was great at his job didn’t help your annoyance with him as you two competed for the same position at work. He seemed to enjoy riling you up as he’d often tease you by finishing his work at the last possible second but somehow still turning it in before you.

When he spotted you he smirked and for a split second his eyes traveled over your body, inspecting the outfit you had on. You could’ve sworn you saw a hint of something in his eyes before he cleared his throat and looked back at your eyes, motioning you over. You internally groaned but made your way over to him nonetheless.

When you stood by him you noticed his grin widened and you squinted your eyes suspiciously at him.

Childe’s grin turned into a smirk as he looked down at you, innocently shrugging his shoulders as if he didn’t plan this all along. Your face grew hot with embarrassment as you looked around and saw your coworkers eagerly watching to see what you two would do.
