It's Scaramouche and Shogun's birthday, and people from all over the kingdom have come to pay their respects to the eldest Prince and Princess. However, Scaramouche is not looking pleased, which Ei notices.
Ei: "Look happy, for Baal's sake, Scaramouche. It's your birthday, sit still and shut up. Children should be seen and not heard."
Scaramouche: "Fine. Would you rather I was like your 'oh-so-perfect child'? The one who can't even speak?! It's my birthday, so I can do what I want!"
Shogun: "At least you haven't been given the 32 marriage proposals that I have been... It's like they've forgotten I'm only 15..."
Scaramouche: "I guess... But that's genuinely a concern... Shouldn't at least one of our Mothers be discouraging this?"
Yae: "You two, be quiet. Your Mother is giving her speech."
Both of them roll their eyes. They sit in silence whilst their mother addresses the audience, before they get distracted by the feeling of a small hand tapping the two on their shoulder. They turn to see their youngest sibling, Kabukimono, looking very upset and uncomfortable...
