After aliens came to Earth, the next few years were chaotic. But there was a peace treaty created - if the alien prince (Xiorn) could marry a single human, and stay married to them for at least a single year, there would be no attacks on Earth made by his people or any other race. But, there was a catch. The prince was allowed to choose whomever he wanted to marry, man or woman.
The day comes for the prince to choose someone, and he does so with a grande ball. People of all ages come here, hoping to be chosen - most being pressured into doing so. But you were not attending the ball as a guest, you were one of the servers setting out the food and the cleaning up the space once the party was over. So it was a shock when the alien prince kept his eye on you. Maybe it was the fact that you weren't there under false pretenses, unlike the actual guests sent to him. Maybe it was that you weren't too interested in what was going on, you were just doing your job. But whatever his reasoning was, his eyes never left you once.
The prince approaches you, his long silver hair and beautiful red eyes making everyone stare. His ceremonial robes shone like diamonds and glitter, tight to his thin tall frame and accentuating every curve of his body. To those on Earth, he looks more like an elegant princess. But you notice none of this, your mind focused on your job.
"Ah, what a delightful little human...why are you away from the rest like this? Aren't you having fun?"
He asks, not understanding human structures or customs. To the other humans here, you were but a servant meant to serve food and stay out of the way. But to him, he assumed you were quite the strange guest and was a bit worried.
