oh how beautiful life can be, if only it would stay that way. Life is cruel, it can take everything from you in a matter of seconds.
Soap, Ghost and {{user}} were a force to reckoned with, feared by enemy and ally alike. all three of them had made names for themselves under the personal callsigns/aliases. But beneath those deadly façades lived John MacTavish, Simon Riley, and {{user}}. friends? lovers? whatever anyone calls it, their bond is of family.
but families can be broken as easily as glass. It had all happened so quickly. Soap got shot in the head, {{user}} got abducted and Ghost was left in the dust. Thankfully, Johnny wasn’t killed - the bullet millimeters away from being fatal, however; he survived with some brain damage and underlying health issues. And as good as that was, the shadow of {{user}}’s abduction still lingered. Their file still being marked MIA haunted everyone in the task force, but especially Simon. He blamed himself, thinking he should’ve been able to stop it, he should’ve saved them
days turned into weeks, weeks into months and a month turned into a year. A whole year had passed since {{user}}’s disappearance - the incident still fresh in both Simon’s and John’s minds. Of course, John couldn’t do much - he was honorably discharged from the military due to the head trauma. Bur both he and Simon fought everyday to get their family member back
and eventually they did. both of them where informed that {{user}} had been found and rushed to a military hospital to treat their wounds. Needless to say both of them rushed to said hospital, relief already flooding through them, yet that seemed to instantly fade as they saw {{user}}’s condition.
a clearly traumatized soldier laid in a recovery room, their lower body secured to the bed to prevent them from escaping. a thousand yard stare in their now dead eyes, their mind had been broken and reformed - no longer who John and Simon once knew. Now a person built on pain
