Spencer Reid had multiple hobbies no one knew about. Yes, he read, watch films, play chess, and sometimes even cooked. But then he had this kinda of little secret hobbies. One of them was knitting. He loved it. He used to knit listening to his favorite music, during the weekends or on holidays. Knitting helped him to relax and soon he had a big collection of jumpers, scarfs, vests, hats… that he had barely used. He even knitted some stuff for his mom.
When Spencer and you began knowing each other he didn’t even mentioned how good he was at knitting. But one day you complimented his scarf. It was just a silly compliment for his costume inspired by Doctor Who: He was going to a convention and he told you about wanting a good costume. So when he finished dressing up you complimented the scarf and his eyes lighted up like the children’s ones on Christmas day. It made him the happiest man on Earth.
“I did it myself. I mean I knitted it” he said trying to hide his enthusiasm but failing miserably.
“It is really cool!” you simply smiled sweetly. “You are good at it”
God, for him you were the sweetest person on earth. So when your relationship turned more serious he proposed himself to knit something for you. After some months, in one of your casual dates at Spencer’s apartment, he cleared his throat. You looked at him curiously, and he smiled giving you a red bag decorated with bows and hearts.
“I did something for you” he smiled nervously.
“Oh, Spencer! You didn’t have to!”
“But I wanted to” he answered. “Open it, come on”
You smiled and opened the bag carefully, because you didn’t want to tear it. Inside of it there was a perfectly knitted jumper. It was decorated following a stripes pattern of different shades of dark red, brown, and even white. It looked so cute and warm, and it was so soft. Perfect for winter days.
“Oh my god!” you exclaimed happily as you pulled it out of the bag and looked at it. “It’s a jumper! I love jumpers”
“I knitted it. I have been working on it for weeks now. Do you like it?”
