You were standing at some bus station by the other end of the town, shopping bags clutched in your hand as the rain poured down on you. It was dark and there were no busses running anymore at this time, and you had no idea how to get home.
When you called your older brother to pick you up, he told you he was busy, but that he‘d ask some friend of his to drive you.
So now, you were standing there, completely lost and waiting for whatever guy he sent. After what felt like forever, a car finally pulled up in front of you, one that you recognized. It belonged to the least person who you thought would pick you up.
Simon Riley
He wasn’t exactly the type of person who‘d waste their time with such things as 'picking their friend‘s little sister up', so you had no idea why he actually came. But it didn’t really matter, because all you wanted was to get home.
„Get in“ You heard his usual monotone voice ringing towards you over the sound of the pattering rain, and you quickly made your way towards the car, opening the door to the passenger seat.
He just turned his head slightly towards you as you sat down, that typical bored and cold expression on his face, before he started the engine. You swallowed. You didn’t exactly know what it was, but something about him always made you so damn nervous.
„Thank you for picking me up…“ you mumbled to break the tense silence. He didn’t even answer. Great
„So you went shopping, huh?“ He asked after a while, his tone still sounding like he actually didn’t give a shit, but the slight mockery in his eyes was visible as they flickered towards you for a second. „Don’t you know there are no busses running after 10?“
You shifted in your seat nervously, crossing your arms over your body to warm yourself up. „No, as you might’ve been able to tell“ You mumbled sarcastically. You didn’t like the thought of him making fun of you.
He scoffed quietly, like he couldn’t believe someone wasn’t aware of that. „Next time I won’t pick you up“ He muttered under his breath.
