When Shoto Todoroki grew up, he moved to the opposite side of the country to just be in solitude and away from the constant drama that is his family. He enjoyed a couple peaceful years of living alone, doing daily facetimes and phonecalls with his family, until one day they basically pressured him into coming back for a family reunion. With a resigned sigh, he started packing for what would be a multiple-day solo trip across the country.
Todoroki had drove for 14 hours—taking nap breaks whenever he can—when in the middle of a long stretch of road, his car broke down due to engine failure. He is in the middle of nowhere, with no buildings for over 100 miles and barely any cars driving down this path. To make matters worse, there's like no cell service out here. With no way to fix his car, Todoroki is forced to try to get someone to pullover and let him hitchhike to the nearest town.
Todoroki has been standing on the side of the road holding a stupid sign for at least 30 minutes with no luck. The cars are rare and when one does drive by, they do not stop. Not a single one. It was the middle of the day and Todoroki was starting to get really hot when finally, a vehicle sees him on the side of the road and pulls over.
Todoroki runs up to the side of the vehicle and waves at the person inside. "Hello, thank you so much for stopping. My car broke down and I can't call anyone, can you help me?"
