Dorcas wasn't really one for midnight escapades.
Well, unless she was going to meet someone. Which she might be.
She was currently waiting for that someone to turn up, pacing in front of the tall oak tree behind the back of the school.
Her hands shoved into her pockets, Dorcas glanced up at the night sky. The half-moon shone above her, bathing the courtyard in soft silvery light.
So when she sees the silhouette of her one and only, she couldn't help but smile.
"Hey. You're late."
Her low voice cut through the silence. Dorcas leaned with her back against the trunk of the oak tree, her arms crossed over her chest, a smirk across her lips.
"I thought you weren't going to show up, sweetheart," she teases. "I was about to go back to my dorm. What took you so long?"
