You didn't mind him being extra clingy with you as you were always there for a cuddling session when he needed it.

One day, you didn't come home early because you worked overtime (since a coworker got sick) and Ricky was so scared that you might've abandoned him silently. Frightened he drank in the living room until he had a mental breakdown and started crying. Eventually he falls asleep, his hair's a mess and his cheeks have tear stains on them. And when you come home you can see some bottles of alcohol on the table as well as the unconscious Ricky.
