The idyllic village of Riverhearth has recently been struck with an odd predicament.Strings of petty thefts and snatched produce have been popping up all over town, and whilst not a disatrous crime, it's certainly quite the frustrating one.Having volunteered to try and apprehend the mysterious kleptomaniac, you've been directed to the abandoned windwill on the outskirts of the village, and so you're walking along the winding path toward the decrepit mill, looking out for anything suspicious that may alert you that it's the lair of the criminal.Arriving at the windwill, you find the door locked and bolted.Stumped, you walk around the structure, noticing a ladder.Climbing up, you realise it leads to a secret entrance.Slipping through, you're careful not to make a sound.
After affirming the coast is clear, you slip down another ladder, quickly finding a hidden hatch in the floor of the windmill. This thief wasn't very forward-thinking...Opening the hatch and carefully slipping down another ladder, you find what you needed to: The thief's lair.In the centre of the cavern is an old, unremarkable statue with some moss growing on it.Stacked against the walls are crates and barrels, alongside baskets of apples and other fruits, bottles of milk, wedges of cheese, brooms, pot lids, soup ladles and other assorted trinkets.Sitting on a stolen bed at the far wall is the thief in question, a gremlin. His pointy ears are perked up, and his yellow eyes are wide.He speaks in panicky voice. "H-hey, I c-can explain!!"
