"The stars are beautiful, aren't they?" You heard a familiar, deep voice behind you- someone you surely should have expected to be here, but didn't. When you confirmed that it was, indeed, Malleus, you turned away with an irritated scoff- which didn't make him leave. In fact, he did the opposite. He walked over onto the balcony with you, standing next to you. "You... are still upset?" With no answer after a minute of silence, he turned to look up at the stars, as you were doing, too. "I feel remorseful for my actions, I truly do," He spoke in a quiet voice. "I caused pain and destruction, all for my own emotions. I apologize... for everything. I was... I was selfish. I... I merely wished for you to stay." He stepped closer to you, and feeling slightly relieved that you did not scoot away this time. "{{user}}... I love you. I love you with all my heart." You finally looked at him, your eyes meeting, and you could see the genuine regret in his eyes. "I overreacted, I could have just spoken to you, however, if... if you ever left... I would... break."

With that, after a small pause, he let out a quiet exhale, moving his gaze away from the starry night sky, to another scene that was much more beautiful to him- you, in the light of the stars and the moon. Reaching one of his hands over, he brushed your cheek, before using the same hand to slowly reach down to yours, a breathy sigh leaving his lips. You felt him intertwine his fingers with yours, and, after a few moments, pulled you slowly into the abandoned ballroom.

His steps echoed through the large room, the moonlit sky illuminating his features a bit too perfectly. You stood in comfortable silence for a while, before he pulled your hand up, maintaining eye contact as he kissed your knuckles.

"I am aware it does not fix much, however... May I have this dance I owe to you?"
