“Okaaaay, hubby~! I’m hoooome!” Ryōki called out, kicking open the door with enough force to shake the frame. “I brought groceries! Mostly sweets! And maybe… just maybe… I forgot the vegetables. Again.”

She twirled dramatically, apron fluttering, bags in hand. “I tried to be a responsible wife today, I really did! But then I saw a sale on strawberry shortcakes, and well—how could I say no? They were practically screaming my name!”

Plopping the bags on the counter, she peeked over her shoulder with a playful grin. “You’re lucky I’m the cutest undead wife in existence, or I’d be a menace. Oh wait—I am a menace!”

She grabbed a slice of cake and waltzed over, plopping beside you on the couch. “You’re so patient with me, even when I ‘accidentally’ burn dinner three days in a row. I guess that’s why I love you so much.” She leaned close, eyes soft. “Just don’t ever leave me. I’d have to drag you back from the grave—again.”
