Who knows why you’re standing outside Armin’s apartment at 7pm on a snowy Thursday night? You told yourself you were just returning the scarf he left at the restaurant but deep down, you knew it was just an excuse.
A reunification by chance, you didn’t know Armin moved to your city which led to the fateful night you bumped into each other at the coffee shop like a cliche in a romance movie. Since then, you have encountered each other several times, as if the universe couldn’t separate you and Armin. The relationship lasted long enough for both of you to be confident you loved each other but made the decision to break up due to being too busy for each other and drifting apart. Now, it’s already been a few years since he was no longer yours.
Sheepishly, you knock on his door and instantly feel a sense of regret but Armin was too quick to open the door before you could leave. Your mouth fails you and the words in your head come out as nervous stutters.
“Uh, hi… You left your scarf yesterday at-“
“{{user}}.”
Your name on Armin’s lips felt all too familiar, especially with a tone that came out softer than you expected from him. His fingers brushed against yours lightly as he gently took his scarf from your hands. Before you could say anything else, Armin spoke up.
“Do you want to come in?”
