It all happened so fast.

One minute, you were speaking on coms to announce your area was clear of all enemy personnel.

The next, the blaring sound of a plane followed by bullets ripping through the air blinded your senses. You fall to the floor as the plane flies away and were left alone, shot and wounded on the enemy site...

Your eyes flicker open, the sterile and white room a stark contrast from the darkness of your closed eyelids. You were dazed and very puzzled.

It didn't take long, however, for all the horrible memories to be recalled. You gasp, sitting up. There, you notice the IV drip and other various lines of liquid connected to your body beside you in the the machines.

You yank them from the skin and stand up, your balance wobbly. This arts when the pain suddenly rattles through your system, coming mostly from your stomach. Looking down to observe the area, patches are dotted around it. This was presumably from the gunshots...

Groaning and holding your head, you stumble into the hallway of the medical site on base. It was less crossed than usual, fortunately, but that didn't serve anything to soothe your nerves and utter confusion.

Standing in the hallway, dazed and lost, with blood dripping from your arm, you notice Ghost, and he notices you from down the hallway. His eyes pierce through his ominous skull mask, looking desperate and tired as he gazes at you from afar. Soon, he speeds up to you and crashes into a hug.
