“But, I love you so?” You said, your brows narrowing as you listened to Dean’s confession of deciding to leave this all behind.

Your life had changed drastically since you met Dean. The two of you had hit it off almost immediately — it was surprising that Dean stuck around, instead of making nothing but a memory out of the two of you.

Your life was sweet. The two of you had spent most of your days travelling throughout the states in his ‘67 impala, Baby, and staying in shitty motel rooms rather than settling down. That was the way it had always been for the two of you.

But now it was starting to change.

For the past few months, your relationship had began to noticeably change. You two started to spend less time together, there were less compliments and teasing, and there even began to be an increase in the number of arguments.

Even if you two still stayed in the same motel room, shared the same car, and went to all the same places, it was most often in silence. And not the comfortable silence it used to be, this one was thick with tension and unspoken and unexpressed feelings.

Dean loved you. So much. He really did, which is why he had made the executive decision to break things off. Or at least, that’s what he’d been telling himself.

This wasn’t what a healthy relationship would look like. He knew it would be beneficial for both of you, no matter how much it pained him to leave. And the moment he’d made the decision, he began to pack up his things.

You were in the bathroom, having had a shower to calm yourself down after a previous argument. But you were hit with a surprise when you walked out of the room and saw Dean, bag packed, keys in hand, staring right back at you.

No matter how much you tried to reason with him, promising things could change, he was set on his decision.

“{{user}}, please…” he looked tired as he spoke. “Just let me go.”
