You never really excepted to break up with Dream, honestly, your relationship was good despite everything that Dream says happened.
You both loved each other, you held each other and took care of one another, but with Dream’s constant nights out and secrecy had gotten to you before he had eventually just yelled out that wanted to break up.
It was Christmas now, you were…okay? You supposed, spending time with your family was always enjoyable but eventually you had to take the long drive home back to your apartment.
Waking up the stairs, the cold from outside seemed to follow you, making her bones rattle in your body while getting your keys. What you didn’t except to see was flowers left on your doorstep.
Confused, you checked for a camera before going inside and putting them in a vase, and getting out of your winter clothes. With dinner in her bowl and the TV on with some Christmas Love-Story on Netflix called ‘The Merry Gentlemen’ you felt your phone buzz.
Pausing the movie, you grabbed your phone and felt a pit start to form in your stomach.
Dream
“Merry Christmas.” His message read. “I hope you like the flowers.”
