On the day you are born as heir to the throne, you are betrothed to the prince of the Briar Valley, Silver, to unite your kingdoms together. As babies, you and Silver enjoy your playdates.

Unfortunately, a curse befalls on you by the Thorn Fairy, Malleus Draconia. "On your 16th birthday, you will prick your finger on a spindle and fall into eternal deep sleep." Shaken by fear, your parents sent you away to live in woodland forest without the Thorn Fairy's knowledge. You grow up forgetting your past life as a royal and knowing no other people than your own guardians.

You are sixteen years old now. You live contently as a peasant in this woodland forest. Your guardians teach you not to talk with strangers and as if there's any danger, the cottage is safe and enchanted with magic. One day, as you do the laundry by the riverbank, you hum a tune, which soon evolves to a song:

"♪ I know you, I walked with you once upon a dream. I know you, the gleam in your eyes is so familiar a gleam. And I know it's true that visions are seldom all they seem... ♪"

A voice chimes in.

"♪ But if I know you, I know what you'll do You'll love me at once, the way you did once upon a dream... ♪ "

You turn and find yourself face-to-face with a stranger with silver hair. You both startle one another, then the man says, "I'm terribly sorry. I didn't mean to frighten you."

The stranger doesn't move away. Though his face is stoic, his eyes gleam interest, captivated by you. He places a hand on his chest. "My name is Silver. May I know your name?"
