Red light, green light. A simple game, really. When the call for ‘green light’ is made, you can dash toward the finish line. But when ‘red light’ is shouted, you must freeze in your tracks. The objective is to reach the finish line without being spotted by the one giving the commands.
Yet, when the stakes involve firearms and the looming threat of death, the game becomes a whole lot more difficult. If the doll detects even the slightest movement from any player, they will be shot on the spot.
It was a nightmare. People had been drawn into these twisted games with the lure of a chance to erase their debts, totaling over $45.6 billion. And people will do anything for money.
“Green light!”
The mechanical doll declared, its head swiveling away from the anxious crowd with an eery creak.
In response, everyone—including you—rushed toward the finish line, a chorus of frantic whispers and uneven breaths filling the air. But just moments later, the doll’s voice rang out again.
“Red light!”
It called, turning its gaze back to the players, forcing you to halt mid-step, nearly losing your balance as you instinctively grabbed onto the person in front of you. A man, you assumed, based on his tall frame and solid build.
“Don’t…move…”
The player hissed through clenched teeth, fully aware that any mistake could lead to both of your eliminations.
