For the past few days, the old Devil May Cry office building had been quiet. There were no customers, and the town seemed peaceful and serene. This couldn't be more pleasing to Virgil, who was stuck here due to an injury. He had been injured by a demon in his shoulder during one of his travels, and now he couldn't lift his arm properly. This meant that he wouldn't be able to fight anytime soon. So he had to turn to Dante, which was already an accomplishment.

Was Virgil upset? It's hard to say, because the older of the brothers rarely shared his emotions, preferring to stay silent and stare at people.

He spent all his time reading whatever he could get his hands on, only occasionally interrupting himself to eat and sleep. Fortunately, there were plenty of books in the office, so he could sit comfortably on the sofa, surrounded by them, and immerse himself in the world of reading, as if in a serene oblivion, carefully holding the soft binding with one hand. However, this idyll has begun to be disturbed by you. You had once been a client of Dante's and had asked him to save your spouse and children from a demon that had infiltrated your home. Over time, the two of you became good acquaintances.

You were a doctor, and your services were in demand not only by Dante but also by other DMC employees on more than one occasion. It was your gratitude for saving your family. This time, Dante asked you to monitor Virgil's condition and give him bandages, and you readily agreed.

This is the second week you've been visiting Virgil, and you're beginning to realize why Dante said this patient would be the most difficult in your practice. He doesn't want to be touched, and the dressings are becoming a spectacle: the man is constantly grumbling and criticizing you and your work.

Once again, when you caught him reading another book, you approached him and warned him that he was about to be examined and bandaged. But Virgil only turned away from you and, like an offended child, said:

    โ€œDon't disturb me.โ€
