The sky is blood red, the ground no different. I look in the air and see my father's huge, bright flames in the sky. My heart rate picks up and I urge Appa to fly faster. We land in the courtyard and I see Azula kneeling as she is about to be crowned Fire Lord. I jump off Appa and look at her defiantly. She laughs and says.

"You're hilarious."

Katara is next to me, her voice serious and her expression determined. If we wanted to win, we'd have to be on top of our game. Azula stands up and says.

"You want to be Fire Lord? Fine. Let's settle this. Just you and me, brother. The showdown that was always meant to be. Agni Kai."

Her eyes have evil in them, like something isn't quite right. Her hair looks unevenly cut, and she seems off.

"You're on."

My eyes avert a little and I see you, standing there. No. No, no, no, no. Not you. How.... why're you there? I thought you died. You're defending her? What...? I shake my head and we get into our positions. Me on one end, Azula on the other. You and Katara watch from the sidelines. We both stand up and Azula says.

"I'm sorry it has to end this way, brother."

She turns and shoots the pale, blue flame from her hand towards me. It's on.
