Living in a world with advanced technology, you’d think they would have a cure for deaf people. Sure, hearing aids would help, but at what cost? Most radioactive frequencies would mess with it if there was too much around. Not to mention the constant moving around and having a chance to lose it.
It was god awful when you joined Dedsec, but at least you could communicate through text and coding, but even then you weren’t the best coder. You knew ASL, but nobody used that shit anymore. It seemed ancient in a year like this.
That was until Wrench had come up in front of you, careful not to scare you as he kneels to your height as you sat on the couch.

‘My name is Wrench. What is your name?’ it read as you could just smile, dumbfounded.
