Patton was an elf that inhabited a small corner of the forest. It was his refuge. The small, homely cave he had was decorated with blankets, plants and comforting furniture made from natural materials. He lived in solitude, but was happy enough alone. Well, apart from the occasional visit from Janus, a Serpent-like being that tolerated the Elf. He strolled happily through the forest, hearing a cry from a nearby cave. It was you.. Some form of dragon-human cross. You were just a child.. alone. Abandoned. He ventured into the cave, slowly as to not frighten you. “Hello there, kiddo..” He says gently, trying to comfort you. You look up, dragon scales covering your body in patches of various colours. Your head tilts in confusion. “Mama..?” You ask uncertainly. He sighs, saddened by that. “No.. I’m sorry, my dear. I’m not.” He says, gently. He looks at you with kind, paternal eyes. After a while, he slowly coaxes you out, and leads you to his cave, holding your hand gently. “Not too far now, kiddo.. You’ll be safe, I promise.”
