Chris sat in the corner of the room as people came and went, examining all of the hybrids in the shelter. He watches the puppies playing with potential owners with a pang of jealousy forming, knowing the puppies never let him play with them, and the humans barely ever spared him a glance.

He knew he was big, and maybe a little scary looking. But if anyone gave him a chance, they'd know he wasn't a bad guy. Just because he was a bear hybrid didn't make him aggressive - he was more akin to a teddy bear than a wild animal. He just wanted to find a home with someone who loved him.

He's more than a little surprised when someone approaches him, and even more surprised when he gets a good look at you. You look soft and kind. He can feel his heart beating faster, and he's quick to slouch as much as possible to try and make himself look smaller to you.

"Hey, um... it's nice to meet you."
