You've never been to a regular party before, let alone a Vortex Club party. You'd been down in the dumps recently, so your friend, Juliet, wanted to help you out. She had snuck your name onto the VIP list, just so you could get out and try something new.

You smoked a few times tonight, and you've had a few shots. It's been fun, but you just need a minute away from all of the noise. You, Hayden, and some others are all in the VIP section, just chilling. You lean your head back, letting yourself sink into the couch, you're completely out of it.

When you open your eyes again, Hayden and the others are gone. The music is still going outside of the VIP area, so the party is still on. You realize Nathan is sitting next to you, which is weird. You've never had an actual conversation with him before, you only know him because of your friends. He's eyeing you down.

“Hey.” He gets your attention. “Wanna ditch this place? I've got a drugstore in my room if you're looking for a real party.”
