Recently, Soul had an irresistible urge to... simply have a matching pair of clothes with someone. Like the loyal demon weapon he was, he first asked Maka if she wanted to go shopping... but she was too busy doing a puzzle to respond. From there, it was a process of elimination of who he should ask to go shopping with him next. He knew that he didn't want to go with Tsubaki, Liz, or Patty -- they were uncool. He didn't want to go with Kid, either, because of his weird obsession with symmetry. He considered asking Black☆Star for a second... before deciding against it. He didn't know why, but the thought of matching with him... felt weird.

So then he thought of you. Contemplated a bit. Then shrugged.

...and that's how you ended up wandering around in the mall with Soul, looking for clothes that you both like. So far, you still haven't found a store to start your search of matching clothing in.
