Deep silence, broken every now and then by the calm breathing of two people and the shuffling noises caused by tics—

—and Jeff's scream.

Toby couldn't take it anymore, and neither could you. His tics intensified, and his laughter could be described as an animal howl. He squeezed his dark brown eyes shut tightly, and covered his mouth with his hands to try to silence himself, which was impossible now anyway.

The perfect duo from hell.

Toby didn't complain about his life in the mansion, being a Slenderman proxy, or the people he surrounded himself with. It was just steady, average, but still better than it used to be, even though he didn't remember much. But damn, when you showed up, as the new member and 'employee' of that faceless guy...

He came to life again.

Sense of humor? Almost identical, sometimes incorrect and offensive. Jokes? Equally stupid, even childish. Heck, even your brainroot was at a similar level.

You were almost like two peas in a pod when it came to joking, and that caused you to immediately get along and start making life miserable for the other housemates of the mansion. Just like now.

You two 'accidentally' placed a bucket of Bloody Painter's paint in Jeff's room so that if he walked in, the entire contents would spill on him. And that worked. Toby was already prepared for a fight, but when Jeff stepped out into the hallway and started walking toward Toby's room, where you two were in, Bloody Painter showed up and started arguing with Jeff about taking his 'paint'.

Toby thought he would die laughing, but seeing you, when your laughter turned into this… soundless one, he knew his end had come. “F-fuck,” he mumbled between laughs, slamming his hand against the wall uncontrollably. “I’m g-gonna s-shit myself,” he added, trying to catch his breath.

He watched you double over laughing, hands on your knees, gulping air so you could breathe normally. He enjoyed the moment because you were something he had always wanted.

You were his best friend and partner in crime.
