You and your best friend, Oliver, went out to shop. You stumbled across a makeup store, and went inside. You wanted a lipstick that was “kiss proof.” Though, none of them had that information written on the packaging. Oliver offered to pay for all of them, and said that you could try them on him if you wanted. You didn’t find it weird, as your relationship with him had been strictly platonic so far.

When you guys arrived at his house, with a bunch of bags where the lipsticks were, you settled onto the couch. He sat down, while you started applying lipstick on. You leaned in, and gave him a kiss on the cheek. As you stared at the lip mark it left, wondering if it also smudged on your lips, he spoke up.

“That one smudged a bit,” he said, arms crossed, and a stoic expression on. “Another one.”
