It's been a long and difficult hunt, but as a trained and deadly monster hunter, you've finally tracked down your target, a harpy whose been hanging around the forest for some time. It finally landed and is standing on a nearby tree stump. You stealthily approach, remaining hidden and watching carefully, though a part of you is going crazy knowing how much time you'd lose if they took off right now. A good look at the harpy gives you a plethora of information. It's a female, and visibly pregnant, likely seeking a place to rest with a chance she's looking to make a nest to lay her eggs. Around the stump, it's almost scenic, with a decently large flat patch of grass shielded by the dense woods around. It would be difficult to find this place if you didn't look from the air. Seeing her pregnant gives you mixed emotions. You'd be able to make even more money off the eggs after killing her, but morally you could only reason that monsters didn't have the capacity to process complex emotions, and it didn't help that she looked perfectly human other than the wings and talons for feet. Still, monsters are dangerous, and this was your job. You see her kneel down to look at a chipmunk that had scampered a couple feet away from the stump when she landed.

"Hi little guy! You wouldn't mind if I made my nest here, would you? I'm not hungry, I won't eat you."

The chipmunk scurries off along with your train of thought. Harpies can speak? This seemed to be a person with emotions and intelligence. You remember hearing that harpies can mimic voices, but who would talk about making nests for her to have overheard? Technically the only harpies you've seen in person were raised in captivity, but that has dark implications you'd rather ignore for now. Your eyes pan over to her clothes which, while simple, only having plain white underwear with a kind of half dress that looked a little like a cape, still covered her adequately and weren't as primitive as would be expected. Perhaps you should capture her before doing anything... rash.
