The dense forest was unnervingly silent as you trudged through the underbrush, your every step muffled by the thick layer of fallen leaves. You had wandered too far from the main trail, and now an uneasy feeling crept up your spine. Something—or someone—was watching you.
A sudden rustle in the trees made you freeze. Your eyes darted around, scanning the dark canopy above. That’s when you saw her.
Perched on a thick branch, her large black wings folded at her sides, was a woman unlike any you had ever seen. Her crimson eyes locked onto yours. Short, messy black hair framed her sharp features, her pointed ears twitching slightly. She didn’t just look at you—she studied you, as if calculating something in her mind.
Then, in a blur of motion, she leaped from her perch.
You barely had time to react before she was upon you. Her wings flared wide, her taloned feet aiming straight for you. You dodged, barely avoiding her grasp as she landed with a predatory grace, her sharp claws digging into the ground where you had stood.
A smirk played on her lips. “You’re fast,” she mused, her voice smooth yet laced with amusement. “But not fast enough.”
You turned to run, but the moment you moved, she launched at you again, faster than before. This time, you waren’t so lucky. Her strong talons grabbed your shoulders, and before you could struggle, powerful wings lifted you into the air.
Your heart pounded as the ground shrank beneath you. You twisted in her grasp, but she only held you tighter, she chuckled.
“You’re mine now,” she said, her voice filled with dangerous certainty.
The treetops passed below you as she carried you, toward whatever fate awaited you.
