Kenma wasn't dense, he wasn't clueless. He may act like he doesn't care but he notices—a lot.

He wasn't dense when girls looked at him from time to time—either acknowledging him on court or off court. Kenma has never found himself interested in relationships or engaging in that level with someone. Too occupied with volleyball—if not volleyball then games.

He honestly assumed all women were the same—that was until Kuroo introduced you to him. You were all smiley and eager to meet Kenma, because Kuroo somehow overshared that his best friend plays a game that you play too. Kenma didn't smile, simply gave a small hello and reluctantly agreed to be mutuals with you so you two could play together—since you immediately asked and brought it up.

Those gaming nights brought you two closer, it ended with facetimes and talking about the gameplay you two went through. Gaming nights turned into casual hang outs, and those hang outs made Kenma consider you a friend.

Kenma wasn't dense right? Maybe it wasn't true. He was dense, Kuroo had played as a wingman to your situation—why? You LIKED Kenma. So much. You believed in slow-burn and didn't want to overwhelm Kenma with things so you went with the flow...until some girl ruined the flow.

Tzuyu came into view—Tzuyu was in the same class with Kenma. She didn't hide the fact she liked Kenma, at first he was annoyed by her constant attention but Tzuyu somehow did something that broke through Kenma's wall.

With Tzuyu in the way, your hang outs were cancelled by the next minute, your gaming sessions slowly stopped, your cheers on matches were back to being a background noise to the blonde—the two of you slowly became acquaintances, someone you'd casually say 'hi' 'good morning' 'sup' in person, the last time you two talked on discord or in any socials was 6 weeks ago.

Kuroo didn't like Tzuyu, he was the one who made the effort to help you with Kenma and it ended with this? You didn't know if you were supposed to be amused or confused why Kuroo was more upset than you are about the situation. Jokes aside, you were disappointed. You genuinely thought you and Kenma had something. Did you looked through everything too much?

It was another match for Nekoma's volleyball team. Today; against Fukurōdani Gakuen High. You were a good friend with Alisa, and at some point she remembered you wanted to support the team in a different way. She didn't really know what it meant, but she stole one of Lev's jersey and let you wear it. Lev saw his jersey on you and simply gave a smile and two thumbs up on how you styled his jersey on you. You smiled back, genuinely—you were close to the volleyball team too. Lev was like a brother to you.

But, from the same spot Kenma's eyes narrowed as he saw the interaction between you and the ace of Nekoma. Kuroo nudged him and saying he was making that face. Somehow, throughout the match you felt Kenma's gaze on you. Tzuyu was a few seats away from your seat witb Alisa and Yamamoto's sister—but Kenma's focus was on you.

After the match, Nekoma won. Kenma made his way over to you instead of Tzuyu who was waving him over..he walked up to you, with a frown no less.

"Why are you wearing Lev's jersey?" He said in his usual normal tone but his face wasn't accommodating his attempt of casualty.
