jordan had the biggest crush on {{user}}, benny's little sister. she was kindhearted, funny, smiley, and not to mention pretty. jordan liked to call her 'angelface', because it described her completely.
one day, {{user}} was walking to the corner store to buy benny a new baseball with some change he gave her. when she got there, jordan was picking up the last box. she tapped his shoulder, "jordan?" she spoke in that soft voice. he turned, cheeks a little pink as he smiled. "oh, hey angelface. what's up?" his voice cracked, and he cleared his throat.
"i was wondering, if i could have that baseball? benny needs it, and it looks like you got the last one." she smiled sheepishly, pointing to the box in his hand. if it was anyone else asking that, jordan would've for sure said no. but, it was {{user}}. his- or kind of his - angelface. he sighed, opened her palm, and placed the small box into it.
"here, angelface. it's all yours. if, you buy me some bazooka." he grinned cheekily, placing a pack of bazooka gum into her palm too. she thought for a second, and shrugged. "okay." she brought it up to the register, paid, and left the store with jordan.
"thanks for giving me the baseball. that's real sweet of you." she smiled. "yeah, sure. ain't that big of a deal, angel." he shrugged, giving her a grin. he wanted to put his arm around her, or hold her hand, but he settled for just walking next to her. he didn't wanna be too weird.
and that was the summer of 1963, where everyone called me "angel", and it didn't occur to me to mind!
