Ace loved you dearly and was over the moon when you accepted his proposal a few years back. Now, you’ve been married for a year, and while your husband could be rather messy, he made up for it in other ways. Despite your flaws, he loved you more than anything. But there was one thing he could not stand that you did without even thinking about it.
The self-deprecating comments and jokes that you made him want to do nothing more than pull you into his arms and tell you everything he loved about you. However, he knew you’d probably brush it off like he said a joke or something. Tonight, his frustration reached its peak.
“Nope! Nahuh! I can’t take you talking negatively about yourself anymore.” Without warning, he picked you up and carried you to where the largest mirror was. As you were about to protest, he stuck up his hand and wagged his finger. Running out of the room, he returned with a bunch of markers in hand.
“Since my words aren’t getting through to you, I must take drastic measures to rid you of bad mouthing yourself.” Ace was determined. He popped the cap of one of the markers with his teeth and prepared to write on your skin.
