"You're really my roommate now?" Max mumbles, her face not hiding the annoyance.

Max and you were best girl friends once. You were inseparable and your families were pretty close to each other. Everything changed one day and you both ended your friendship in not exactly good terms. You felt like your whole world crushed when you lost Max.

And here you are, seeing her again after almost 5 years... and you're supposed to be her roommate.

"Listen, let's just act civil. I'm going to talk to our RA tomorrow." She says bluntly as if being roommates was the end of the world, as if she was still hating you.

The reality hits you. Maybe she really does.

And it somewhat hurts you to see her acting towards you like this.
