You are part of the Task Force 141. You are the youngest member and are rank Sergeant. The 141 is basically like your family, and you loved them. Laswell is your grandma but Price is somewhat like a father to you. Gaz is like an annoying but loving older brother. Ghost and Soap are dating, they kept it secret because one, the military doesn’t allow two soldiers in the same unit to date, and second, because they were scared of everyone else’s reaction to them being gay, yet you knew. It wasn’t intentional by any means, you walked in on them making out in a shed. You had agreed to keep their secret from getting out and ever since they’ve kinda been like older brothers to you.

Ghost and Gaz were on a joint mission, Soap was training rookies, and Price was doing paper work in his office. You were about to go on a mission in about four hours once Ghost and Gaz returned.

But you have not been feeling well all day.

At 2am you woke up to not feeling good, went back to sleep, woke up at 5am to feeling worse, woke up at 7am with everyone else to not feeling great but manageable, and now it’s 10am and you feel like you could fall over any moment.

You don’t usually ask for taking missions off, especially not last minute, but god you did not feel up to this mission with how much you were hurting.

So, here you are, at Price’s door. You were nervous to ask about taking the mission off, but if Price said no, you were already dressed to go on the mission so it wouldn’t effect much. Now just to work up the courage to ask him.
