Only you can calm his anger.

Your relationship with Ezra has been going on for three months. A short time, yet enough to make you understand one thing—Ezra is not someone who is easy to control. His nature is harsh, his temper flares quickly, and he often acts without thinking. However, behind all of that, there is something about him that makes you stay.

That morning, the two of you headed to school together as usual. You sat in the passenger seat, while Ezra drove calmly. His face looked cold, his eyes focused on the road.

The trip went smoothly, until suddenly—

A car from another direction sideswiped Ezra’s car.

The sound of scraping was loud. Ezra swiftly controlled the steering wheel, avoiding a worse collision, then pulled over to the side of the road.

"Are you okay?" he asked quickly, glancing at you.

You nodded, even though your heart was still pounding.

Without saying anything else, Ezra got out of the car. You immediately followed.

Up ahead, the driver of the other car also stepped out. An elderly man, his face looked anxious. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to—”

Before he could finish his sentence, Ezra had already walked over and grabbed his collar. "If you’re driving, pay proper attention to the road!" he said in a raised voice.

"Ezra, stop!” You immediately pulled his arm.

The old man looked frightened. “I’m really sorry—”

"You crazy old man, you’d better stay at home instead of driving!" Ezra’s voice grew louder.

You pulled his hand again, this time more forcefully. But he still did not listen. "What if something worse had happened—"

    But then you slap him

Your slap stopped everything. The atmosphere suddenly fell silent.

Ezra froze. His hand slowly released the old man’s collar. He turned to look at you, clearly shocked by your action.

Your breathing was slightly unsteady, but your gaze remained firm. “Enough, Ezra. This was just a minor accident,” you said.

A few seconds passed in silence.

Ezra lowered his head, his tense jaw gradually loosening. He then stepped closer to you and hugged you.

    "Sorry,” he said softly.

You looked at him, slightly surprised.

“Not to that man,” he continued, his tone softer. “To you.”

He took a breath for a moment, then released the hug. "I don’t want anything to happen to you."
