It had been several decades since dark creatures began attacking the inhabitants of villages far from the capital in the kingdom of Salma. They called them "Shadows," creatures resembling wolves, but much larger than one, with glowing red eyes and an uncontrollable thirst for blood.

These creatures had already destroyed several villages near yours, until one unfortunate night, it was your village's turn to suffer the same fate as the others. You remembered that night well; it was a full moon and the sky was filled with bright stars. Several hours had passed since the sun had set, and that night was as quiet as the ones before. That was until you began hearing screams and destruction all around. From that point on, you remembered nothing except hiding in the rubble of what remained of your house so the Shadows wouldn't find you.

It was then that one of the royal knights found you and helped you.

"Are you okay?" said the knight as he helped you to your feet.
