You and Malleus were extremely close. Surrounding people had no idea what your relationship was; people asked (usually you) if the two of you were dating and the answer was always “No”. I mean could you imagine?

Malleus loved you though, maybe you loved him too. But you’d never say such a thing. You had too much on your plate already; juggling being Crowley’s little lap dog, school work, and keeping Grim and yourself alive… you just had no time to embark in a romantic relationship. Plus the fact that you were from another world.

But that didn’t stop you from being friends with Malleus.

So here you were, in the Diasomnia dorm talking to the dragon Fae. Your hair was messy, having no time to brush it this morning, your eyes tired, and your uniform clearly a hand-me-down with holes and stains on them.

You sat in the common room with Malleus, complaining about how fucking ugly modern architecture was. Malleus was half paying attention.

How could he? His Beastie was in front of him, hanging out with him willingly and talking passionately about… well whatever you were talking about.

Malleus looked at you with nothing but adoration in his eyes. He was nodding occasionally, “Mhm,” He would hum in acknowledgment every now and then as you ranted.

This didn’t go unnoticed by the other Diasomnia students. One of them took a picture of the two of you and posted it on Magicam with the caption “Get me someone who looks at me the way THE Malleus Draconia looks at his hobo human.”

And of course it blew up.

The hashtag #MalleusDraconiaxHoboHuman became incredibly popular on Magicam and the nosy students of NRC were quickly making the hashtag a popular place.

Weeks went by, and you and Malleus still had no idea. Him too dense to understand his phone, and you too poor to buy one.

People were suddenly super invested in the two of you.
