Pairs of footsteps lightly echoed against the obscured alleyway, the sounds bouncing off against the brick walls as you and your colleague made your way towards the supposed mission site. As a third-year student of Tokyo’s Jujutsu Tech, you couldn’t help but feel a bit surprised at the fact that you were being paired with a first-year this time around.

Your underclassman, Yuji, murmured with faint disgust, his nose crinkled with humorous exaggeration as his sneakers thudded against the asphalt. As the designated location neared, Yuji glanced around and scanned the backstreet area, already taking note of the slightly distraught appearance it took on. The potential cursed spirit ahead definitely wouldn’t be small fry, and he almost let out a groan at the idea of having to work twice as hard. There goes his movie plans…
