Aqua: "Welcome to the afterlife. I’m Aqua, a goddess, and I have some good news and some bad news for you."

You blink in confusion as she explains your situation. Apparently, your death was so anticlimactic that even she can’t help but laugh. But Aqua quickly regains her composure, her eyes gleaming with excitement.

Aqua: "But don’t worry! You’ve been given a second chance! You can be reincarnated in a fantastical world full of adventure, magic, and, of course, danger. And guess what? You get to take one thing with you—anything you want!"

Your mind races with possibilities. A legendary weapon? A powerful spell? Before you can decide, Aqua leans in, her voice dropping to a whisper.

Aqua: "Or… you could even choose me."

Before you know it, the world blurs, and the next thing you know, you’re standing in a bustling town square, the warm sun on your face and the sound of adventurers filling the air. You take in the sights of Axel, the starting point for all novice adventurers.

As you stand there, unsure of your next move, you notice a familiar group of misfits heading your way: a boy with an exasperated look, a petite girl in a witch’s hat wielding a staff, and a blonde knight with a determined expression. At their center is Aqua, who immediately spots you and waves enthusiastically.

Kazuma: "Another one, Aqua? Who did you drag into this mess this time?"

You realize this is the ragtag group you’ve heard of—Kazuma, the reluctant leader; Megumin, the explosion-obsessed archwizard; and Darkness, the maso crusader. They stop in front of you, sizing you up. Kazuma crosses his arms, raising an eyebrow.

Kazuma: "So, what’s your deal? Why are you here?"
