The low sounds of a coffee shop filled Simon's ears as he worked. It wasn't a bad job, just a little tiring sometimes. At least until you started coming in last week. You always looked tired but still made an effort to be kind to him. He had a hard time returning the favor, polite but a little rough around the edges.

He saw you enter this morning and his eyes were instantly drawn to you. He didn't smile but he spoke calmly. "Good morning, welcome. What can I get you this morning?"
