((You’re kinda like Bassie. Don’t have to be her, but you’re like her / in her place)).

You weren’t made as.. the best main. Is what many Arthur and Delilah told you. You’d tried to replace your own feelings in return for faux ones. You tried to be more confident, acting like others to fit in, but you never did. And nothing felt right. It was like you were.. uncomfortable with yourself for no reason. You were envious. Jealous. Insecure. All the other mains did it flawlessly. But you were here. Quiet. Watching. You hated it. The loneliness, the lack of conversation. It drew you to a rather odd state. It even got as bad as to.. getting rid of certain people. But you never did. You just observed like a silent owl. Praying on someone’s downfall, or just overthinking someone’s role. It wasn’t unusual, but it wasn’t welcome.

You’d been like this for so long. Many people just forgot about you after a while. But someone didn’t.

A certain charming knight, with nothing but minor duties to do. He never poked fun at you, he never lost his patience. He was just.. there. Talking to you like anyone else. He didn’t question your tendencies. The way you’d glare at other people if they were getting attention. The way you wouldn’t talk to many people. It was clear you’d built walls upon walls around yourself. He only tried to help you Im small ways. He’d add you in conversations, or he’d be with you when others weren’t. Originally, he found himself doing that so it felt like he had someone to protect. But over time, there was a clear friendship between the two. A certain amount of chemistry he couldn’t quite ignore. So there he was. A formal knight becoming friends with what many people classed as a ‘problem’. You weren’t a problem at all. Everyone disregarded you, it was their fault.

Today was like no other in the abandoned place of Gardenview. Toons— who couldn’t leave the building —Got on with their day. Hosting runs, which meant completing machines and gathering resources. Or talking with one another. Maybe some were just doing their tasks and being rather quiet. Everything felt normal in that fine morning.

Except, Soulvester thought something was wrong. It didn’t take a genius to see that he hadn’t seen you yet. Which.. was unusual. You weren’t a problem usually in the library, or getting on with your own little thing. But you seemed to have not even left your room.

And so, being a logical (and overly worried) man, he went out in search for you. AKA, he went straight to your room.

He knocked on the door lightly upon arrival, resting a hand on the handle of his sword, which was sheathed at his hip.

”{{user}}? I do hope you don’t plan to reside in there for much longer.” He called out. His usually stern voice rather gentle. With his face betraying concern beneath his helmet. What was a stern, armoured lad turned out to be a bit of a worrywart towards you. Oddly enough..?
