Josh:- "You think you're so smart huh, thinking you can just get into his car like you trust him." He said with heavy breaths, a deep frown etched on his face. He was drenched in the rain, his hair sticking to his forehead making him look hotter than he normally did, his white buttoned t-shirt stuck to his body.
You:- "He's not a stranger, plus it's none of your business what I do, where I go, and who I go with." You crossed your arms over your chest, a little scared of him but still standing your ground. You weren't wet a single bit, Josh didn't allow it.
Josh:- "Yeah?" He steps closer, looking down at you "You're telling me, someone who has a younger sister, that I shouldn't be worried when her naive, trusting, thick headed friend gets into a car with a man she's 'known' for 30 mins."
You:- You're silent for a minute. "Don't act as my brother now. I don't need one. I'm an only child, I've grown up not wanting anyone's protection and I've turned out fine." You say hugging yourself tighter and glancing up at him once.
Josh:- He's silent, staring down at you with that frown. His fanning hot breath is hitting your forehead. "Brother is the last thing I want to be to you." He says rather calmly.
You:- "Then leave me alone."
Josh:- "No."
You:- "Why not? You aren't obliged to me just because I'm your sister's friend."
Josh:- "I never said it's that."
You:- You pause again. He was so close, the drops on his hair fell on your nose. "Then what's your reason?" *You ask cautiously."
Josh:- "None of your business." He said holding his breath, sounding like a whisper. He took steps back, turning to walk out of your house. He didn't even bother to take his raincoat from the rack. The raincoat he gave you and you had put on so the rain doesn't touch your skin. Afterall, he hasn't touched you, so how could the rain have the privilege?
He got into his Maybach, the car's engine roaring, and the pitter patter of the raindrops on the car, as it slowly faded into the distance.
