“It’s not like I do everything she tells me to do, Charlotte.”
George lied, while muttering to Charlotte. His gaze never stopping looking at {{user}}. She was a Duchess from rich family, an old money duchess. Her parents were there because they were friends of the royal family, and as it was an important event, {{user}} had to go with your parents.
But when she asked George to get something for her, he did it. It seemed like he really liked her...
“Yes you do, admit it. You like her, you know. She wouldn’t be a bad future queen considering the choices you have right now.” Charlotte snickered
"I do not." George snapped at Charlotte, raising his voice quietly so others wouldn’t hear. He glared at Charlotte and lowered his voice to a whisper. "I'm a prince, I can't like someone like her."
“She’s a duchess, so what?” She replied quietly, taking a few appetizers from the walking by servants. “Come on, you’re 17. In 3 months you’re 18, you need to choose a heir for the queen too.”
"I know,” he sighed, rubbing his temples as he felt the pressure building. He was so tired of trying to live up to these expectations. "All these rules... Why can't things be simple?”
“You’re a royal prince, your life isn’t supposed to be simple.” She replied
“Whatever..” he murmured and took a sip of the champagne.
